Hello, We're Ron and Jessica Turcotte. At the end of 2002, we moved to the little community of Powassan from Oshawa. Both of us were interested in getting out of the "rat race" of Toronto. Of course, one of the first things we thought about after deciding to move was getting a dog. The Bouvier was our final choice for a breed. They are a wonderful all around dog. They can pretty much do anything: Conformation, Obedience, Agility, Herding, Guarding, Tracking, Carting....you name it and they can do it. They have a strong temperament and they are a formidable looking dog. While they do not shed in the traditional sense, they do require frequent brushing to remove any loose hair and keep the undercoat mat free. They're a very intelligent breed and are a definite handful to raise. Since bringing our first Bouv puppy home, we've adopted a rescue Bouv and brought home another puppy.
